A Youtube diary
It's the middle of February and finals and state tests are being discussed. We have recently discussed our class end-of-the-year project and I'm planning what to do. I don't have many ideas, but what I do have is pretty good if I do say so myself. I have until the end of the school year anyways so I'm not too stressed. I tried a new hairstyle today that I think I'm going to be posting. It's a waterfall braid. I know a lot of videos have been made about that, but people always want to try different hairstyles. I'm really proud of myself. The braid looks good for it being the first time I tried this. I've had a few prom/homecoming hairstyle ideas too. Yay! :) I have a lot of potential video ideas and I think I'll try to film one or two this weekend. Fingers crossed. I'm really excited for them too. I need some help. I'm going to put a poll on here and I need everyone to vote for what they think is best. Should I do the hairstyles in just myself and Jennifer or should I bring in other people so viewers can see other lengths and textures?

I'm finally recovering a little bit from WinterJam. I definitely feel better than last week. I also have a bunch of video ideas so we should be updating soon with a lot of content. I don't think we will be filming this weekend. I have to choreograph for show choir and Jennifer will be preoccupied with the Super Bowl. We both have pretty busy weekends.
I have inspiration for videos, but I don't know what to talk about. I don't want to promise that I'm going to make certain videos when I may not get to it. Let's just say I'll try my best to make the content amazing. I know Jennifer feels the same. I guess I really don't have anything else to say so have a great weekend and just be yourself. I love you. <3 :) So last night I went to WinterJam. WinterJam is a Christian concert with 10 singers/bands. To enter fans pay $10 at the door. We had a pretty spectacular night. All of the bands were amazing and the speakers were magnificent. Due to some technical difficulties, the concert ran a little later than usual. Thanks to that and the dropping off of some of my friends, I didn't get home until 3:15. I'm a pretty early bird so I am extraordinarily tired this morning. I am really really really really really really really really really really really really reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaallllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyy tired. I need a nap.
Just some advice for anyone who tries to mess with me when I'm tired, don't. I'm cranky, moody and I am a force to be reckoned with. So beware. Well... TTYL! :) It's been an interesting week. We had two snow days...almost a month after I wanted snow we finally got it. Sigh. That's alright though. It's given me some extra time to determine exactly we will be doing and how everything else on my schedule is going to work. If I though tennis managing in the fall was hectic, man was I wrong. In the next few months I have girls' tennis, show choir, this project and other school things. Oh, and academic bowl. I chose all of these things, though, and I'm going to give my everything to all of them.
So I have been watching this channel on Youtube for a couple of years. It's called Cute Girls Hairstyles. They are actually a family that does these videos. It is most often the mother, Mindy, that does one of her daughters' hair. They come up with these really amazing hairstyles and I have attempted a large amount of them. I have tweaked a few of them to match my hair and materials and I'm pretty proud to say they've taught me a majority of my favorite hairstyles. The one featured above has left me stumped. I have tried this 3 or 4 times and the result is just slightly off. I'm going to continue trying this hairstyle along with the other ones and I hope to someday be as good as them with their videos. I hope to have the styling skills of Mindy, the editing skills of Shaun(sorry I'm not sure if the spelling is correct), and the bright, bubbly personality of Brooklyn, Bailey, and Kamri as well as Rylan, Paisley and Daxton. Be sure to check out their channel as well as Rclbeauty101, Maybaby and so many more. They all need love and support and they've inspired me to be who I am. Talk to you later! :-* Happy New Year! :) So far 2016 feels a lot like 2015, but I'm sure it'll be different soon. We've been on winter break for a while and while I was sitting at home I've decided something. Jennifer and I will be doing our videos a little bit differently from now on. We are going to branch off in two different directions to achieve the most content and variety possible. I am taking over the Hair & Beauty aspect and she is going to do more of the challenges and vlogging area. We're still going to film with each other, but this way we can put up two videos a week and do a variety of things. I am currently working on a few of the next videos that I'm in charge of.
In our next video, I will be announcing this as well as doing the next one. I would also like to apologize for not putting up any videos the last few months. It is completely unprofessional and I take full responsibility for it. I'm going to be cracking down on it and making sure we accomplish some things. Thanks so much for sticking with us and I hope to see you soon. Bye :-* To start, I would like to apologize for not getting Jennifer and I's 3rd video up. I have been so busy with Advanced choir getting ready for Madrigals, I haven't had the time to just sit and edit it. I've been trying to step up as a section leader and that has kind of let our project fall to the wayside. I have come up with the next video idea. I'm not going to say what it is though. I am excited about it.
I guess if I don't say what it is then I don't have much to talk about...well this is awkward. Um...I got new kittens this week. They are so adorable. Their names are Noodle and Leo. They respond to their names really quickly. I also accidentally taught my dog a trick. I went in his area to feed him and he stood up. He's a big dog and I really didn't want to deal with that so I put my hand out and said "bruh". My dog sat. :D Whoops. I guess I taught him something. I hope to work on our video next week, but we'll see if we have time in a few days. Until then, Ciao! I've noticed something...I'm not getting a ton of help from others when it comes to ideas for our videos. I'm not mad, just a little bit disappointed. I've set a goal for Jennifer and I today. We're going to come up with ideas for our next 5 videos. I've come up with two so far. We're going to do a Holiday Truth or Dare and weird life/beauty hacks. That's about as creative as I have been today. I'm stuck. I'm pretty sure I only got this much because I'm listening to Disney songs. Teen Beach 2 songs to be specific. They really speak to me. XD
I'm trying to think about things my favorite Youtubers have done. I really strive to be like them in every video, but I don't want to just copy them. Sigh. Ah! I know what I need. I need to seek out inspiration in the form of tinsel, lights and glitter. Yes, I need Christmas. Christmas movies, Christmas music and maybe even Christmas decorating. I hope to tell you next time the 5 videos. Until then, hasta lasagna! This week, our English teacher gave us a challenge. We are supposed to pick somebody else's 20 time project and blog about it. She gave us a whole class period dedicated to picking a blog. Some needed that whole time but for me I knew immediately whose project I wanted to talk about. My friend Jessica is doing an amazing project. She is knitting baby hats and then giving them to the local pregnancy care center. When she informed me of this at the beginning of the year I was shocked. It amazes me sometimes when someone my age actually tries to make a difference in somebody else's life.
In the middle of October she donated 100 hats to the center. It astonished me that she could accomplish so much in such a little time. I can tell that Jessica is really dedicated to making these hats. I also told my mom about this admirable project. She told me very quickly that she would like to help Jessica out by buying her some yarn. I agreed with my mom that something this incredible deserves support. If you would like to check out her blog and support her go to: http://projecthelp20time.weebly.com/blog I am so proud of my friend and can't wait to see what other amazing things she has in store for the future. So we have edited and posted 2 videos. I have yet to do the third but I'm hoping to do it soon. We have a problem though. Our first video isn't showing up. I have no clue why but I'm going to try to get on top of that. We're also really struggling with different ideas to do for videos so please, please, please comment on either our blogs or our videos of what you would like to see.
Until next time, sayonara. :) |
